Acupuncture for women’s health

Acupuncture is effective treating many women’s health issues. It restores balance to the body. And after removing the root cause, many symptoms decrease, or even disappear. Compared to many other treatments, acupuncture is entirely non-invasive, natural, and safe.

Women’s health

Women’s health covers a wide assortment of issues, such as irregular menstruation, menopause, and associated conditions. However, in the view of acupuncture, women’s health can even include problems like aging due to stress and persistent headaches. Many of these issues occur due to shifts in hormones, or chemicals regulating the body. Given the complexity of women’s health issues, they are often hard to fix.

Acupuncture’s benefits

Research shows the female reproductive system is highly receptive to acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture increases blood flow to important areas. This can also help stabilize hormone levels. All procedures are natural and non-invasive. Acupuncture eases menstruation, menopause, and pregnancy. It can also assist with other conditions caused by unbalanced hormones and qi.

How we help

When you arrive for your appointment, we will ask about your specific concern. We will ask about your symptoms, medical history, and give a full-body examination. Everyone’s body is unique, and we personalize treatment accordingly. In general, the doctor inserts four to ten hair-thin needles, around half an inch deep. The needles may be placed on the stomach, or even the back, arms, and legs. You will then rest lying down for 10-30 minutes. A normal treatment regime includes 15 weekly sessions. Depending on the concern, e.g. pregnancy or menopause, treatment may last the whole duration.
